Who am I?
I’m Louise, a BACP registered and fully qualified counsellor. My therapeutic approach is built on the belief that having a dedicated space to be truly heard and understood is vital. I bring over five years of experience supporting individuals through life’s most difficult and transformative moments, in settings ranging from hospices to community centres.
What is an Integrative Therapist?
I work as an integrative therapist, which means I don’t use a single, fixed method. Instead, I carefully draw on various therapeutic approaches (such as Person-Centred) to create a unique and tailored path that precisely meets your needs, goals, and personality. This flexible approach ensures our work together is relevant and highly effective.
From Law to Listening: My Journey
My background is rooted in advocacy and empathy. Before retraining as a therapist, I worked as a solicitor supporting asylum-seekers with their applications to remain in the UK. In that role, I witnessed the deep emotional toll of uncertainty, disconnection, and starting over in an unfamiliar environment. I saw firsthand the immense challenges faced by people without a supportive person to turn to.
This experience, coupled with my time volunteering for Cruse Bereavement during the pandemic, cemented my dedication to providing a safe, non-judgemental space for people to process isolation, emotional pain, and profound change.
